					<title>The Story Behind &quot;Your Great Name&quot;</title>
					<link>http://krissynordhoff.com/christianworship.cfm?feature=1923349&amp;postid=628131</link>
					<description>

There was a little boy in our church that had a terminal illness. He was about 18 months old. I was thankful to be a part of praying for healing for him. Our congregation prayed for him on a Wednesday night, and one week from that day he went to be with Jesus. Definitely healing, but not the way we had hoped.

Also during this time, I was reading through the Psalms, studying the meters and rhythms hidden inside. I was enamored by Psalm 136. Every statement about the Lord was followed by &amp;quot;His love never quits.&amp;quot; I felt the power in repeating that truth in every situation.

So I sat down to write one day, for no other purpose than worship. Something rose up inside of me. Something that made me want to declare from my depths the truth about who God is. The truth of who God is, even to our church, even to that little boy, even to His family. Something that said we can not stop praying for people for healing, or be discouraged in any way. He is who He is! His word is rock solid, and He does not change. He can heal the sick, He can raise the dead if He so chooses. All power is in His name. I believe we need to pray every time!

I finished most of the verses and a lyrical idea for the bridge that day. Then the song drove me crazy. I couldn&apos;t finish it
for anything! I co-wrote with 2 people trying to find the perfect chorus, and it just wasn&apos;t the right one.

Finally, I passed the song on to Michael Neale. He liked the song, but thought it needed a new chorus. I told him to
go for it. He sent back the finished song. It just felt like a beautiful, outburst of worship after the lines of declaration.
We never did sit down to co-write either! It was all done over email.

I am so thankful to have been a part of writing &amp;quot;Your Great Name&amp;quot;. When I get to heaven, I hope this is my greeting!!!!

					<title>The Story Behind &quot;Outrageous Love&quot;</title>
					<link>http://krissynordhoff.com/christianworship.cfm?feature=1923349&amp;postid=722799</link>
					<description>I remember driving in my car one day, just singing worship. Whatever God put on my heart. The word
&amp;quot;Outrageous&amp;quot; really stood out to me. A lot of times when I write, one word will start a whole trail of
thoughts and ideas, and that&apos;s what happened this day. It seemed like such a fresh way to describe
the kind of love Jesus has for us. So I kept singing, and the chorus to this song was done before I made it
home!

&amp;quot;Outrageous Love&amp;quot; is a powerful song - particularly when used in Easter Worship services.&amp;nbsp;

Listen to the song on the &lt;a href=&quot;./home.cfm&quot;&gt;Home Page.&amp;nbsp;
